Visitors to our pop-up space created architectural scale models of park structures and answered these questions: "What is your design? What community need does is serve? What do you do in and around it?"

The Human Cat Condo
I got inspired by all those big cat scratching posts. I always wanted to play on one. It is for playing. You can crawl through the tubes to the top or use the ladder, then play in the shade of the net tree, and play imaginary games with the spots for each element, earth, fire, water, and wind. Bathroom Tree
Bathrooms are essential for visiting and enjoying parks. This is a bathroom tree and the red/green leaves indicate if it is busy or available. The top has solar panels to power lights that turn on with sensors. The water (grey) can be revised for the greens around. The pole is a way down. Alba |
Gathering Pavilion
This design has a shade structure that lets dappled light through. A table with three comfortable chairs are in the center. Potted plants and a low wall create a sense of private space. This is for people who want to connect in an elegant spot. At night, small solar powered white lights in the shade structures illuminate the space. |
